Italian Organic CHESTNUT HONEY is a liquid honey, aromatic, slightly bitter and astringent on the palate. It is perfect to combine with fresh ricotta, in the preparation of ice cream, dissolved in goat milk or yogurt and to sweeten autumn fruit purees.
Italian Organic CHESTNUT HONEY is produced between June and July on the Ligurian-Piedmontese Apennines. Straddling the sea and the plain, the Apennine chain rises majestically: barren and stony peaks surrounded by endless chestnut woods. Here the tradition of drying, grinding and processing of these precious fruits is still alive, which for centuries have been a source of sustenance for the local people.
